As a full-time Northeastern University student living off-campus, you are eligible to receive a special credit on Comcast services through the Comcast Advantage Program for Students (CAPS).

Here’s how it works: Sign up for any combination of Comcast services that includes XFINITY TV and you’ll receive an annual credit in the amounts shown below. The more Comcast services you subscribe to, the larger your annual credit amount will be.

What is the Comcast Advantage Program for Students (CAPS)?
The Comcast Advantage Program for Students (CAPS) is a special offer for eligible off-campus Northeastern University students. The program provides an annual credit for Comcast services: $25 for one product, $50 for two products and $75 for three Comcast products. The three products included in Comcast Advantage Program for Students (CAPS) are XFINITY TV, XFINITY Internet Service and XFINITY Voice. The program does not apply to Basic Cable service.

Who is eligible?
Full-time graduate and undergraduate day off-campus students are eligible to participate in the Comcast Advantage Program for Students (CAPS). The students must be living in an area where Comcast is a service provider.

How will Comcast know if I am eligible?
Requests for this offer will be made through the myNEU portal, which recognizes which students are eligible through the student’s user ID.

How can I receive the credit?
Once your service is activated, you can access the Special Offer Request Form from the myNEU portal. The credit, once authorized, will be applied to your next bill.

What Comcast services need to be ordered?
The three products included in Comcast Advantage Program for Students (CAPS) are XFINITY TV, XFINITY Internet Service and XFINITY Voice phone service.

Does the account need to be in my name?
Yes, the account needs to be under the name of the eligible student. If the account is under an ineligible person’s name, the account name needs to be changed. You may call 1-800-COMCAST to request a name change, and there is a fee associated with this change.

How often can I receive this offer?
Eligible students can receive this offer once per academic year.

Is the offer available for services I already have?
Yes. The offer is available to eligible students based on the number and type of service(s) activated at the time of the request.

What if I receive a credit for two active services and then add a third service later in the year?
The offer will apply once per address in an academic year. A subsequent product added later in the year will not be eligible.

What happens if I move during the school year?
If you move, you are not eligible to receive an additional credit at your new address. (Limit is one credit per account, per year).

What if I live in an area that is not served by Comcast?
The Comcast Advantage Program for Students (CAPS) is only available where Comcast is a service provider.

The offer will be credited to your next bill.

What if I live at home?
Eligible students can receive the offer regardless of where they live, as long as the account is in the eligible student’s name and in a Comcast serviceable area.

Do I need to order the services through the NEU portal in order to be eligible for the offer?
All students can order their services directly from Comcast, but students eligible for the Comcast Advantage Program for Students (CAPS) must fill out the online form available through the myNEU portal to take advantage of this special offer.

If I am not eligible, can I still order Comcast services through the myNEU portal?
Students who are not eligible for the Comcast Advantage Program for Students (CAPS) can go directly to Comcast.com to set up service. Only eligible students can receive the one-time annual credit through the myNEU portal.

Am I eligible if I have a past due payment to Comcast?
The offer is available to eligible students in good standing with Comcast. Outstanding payments must be collected before the credit is applied to the account.
