Your On-Screen Program Guide has a distinctive new look!

The On-Screen Program Guide gives you access to all the great features of Comcast Digital Cable. And yours is being upgraded to a new version with more features to make it easier for you to watch and control what you and your family are watching! With this upgrade you now have:

• Expanded program information, with a three-column, color-coded grid that shows what’s on in the next 90 minutes.
• Smarter surfing with a mini guide, for browsing the program lineup while still watching your show full screen.
• Enhanced Parental Controls that let you better manage what your family is watching.
• Multiple Favorite Lists of channels, so each member of your household can have their own.
• Convenient, one-button access to the most frequently used features via the Quick Menu.

90-minute Grid with Color Coding

Pressing the Guide button on your remote brings up the grid of what’s on – now showing you the next 90 minutes of programming. Use the up and down or page up and page down arrows to see all of the channels, and use the right arrow to go forward in time to see what’s on beyond the next 90 minutes!

Highlight any program and press Info on your remote once to bring up abbreviated program information, and press Info a second time to see the full Program Information screen.

Programs in the grid are also color coded now. You can tell at a glance what programs are movies (purple), sports (green) or kids’ shows (light blue).

Mini-Guide

In addition to the large 90-minute grid, you also can view a mini version – and keep the program you are currently watching full screen. While watching a program just press the OK/Select button on your remote.

Parental Controls

With the On-Screen Program Guide’s Parental Controls, after setting a four-digit code called your Locks PIN, you can manage what your family is watching by restricting the viewing of specific channels, titles, or shows with certain ratings. You can even hide the titles of adult-rated programs to keep them from showing up in the Guide.

Multiple Favorite Lists

Setting up a Favorite List enables you to quickly surf through just the channels you like to watch. To add a channel to your Favorite List, just select the Heart icon on the Program Information screen of any program playing on that channel. The first time you’re setting up a Favorite List, the Guide will prompt you to create your first list.

You can then set up additional Favorite Lists for others using the Main Menu. Just go from the Main Menu to Setup, then Favorite Lists Setup. For detailed instructions, just see the User Guide.

Once your Favorite Lists are established, you can surf through your Favorites using the Fav button on your remote, or when viewing the grid, press Fav to see it just with your Favorites!

Quick Menu

This Guide upgrade includes a major convenience – one-button access to the most popular and frequently used features! Press Menu on your remote once to bring up the Quick Menu: a group of icons that appear across the bottom of your screen. The program you were watching remains on screen! Navigate right and left to access these functions, including Search, Parental controls and TV Listings.

And there’s a shortcut built into the Menu button on your remote, too! Press it twice in a row to bring up the Main Menu!

Frequently Asked Questions About the New On-Screen Program Guide

Q: What do I need to do to receive my upgrade?
A: Nothing. Just make sure your set-top box is continuously plugged into your wall outlet and you will receive the upgrade automatically.

Q: Will I be charged for this upgrade?
A: There is no additional cost for this upgrade. You may enjoy these new enhancements and exciting features as part of the Comcast Digital Cable service to which you already subscribe.

Q: When I get the new guide, am I going to have to set up my Parental Controls again? 
A: Any Parental Controls and PINs that you currently have set up will work with the new Guide.  There will be no need for you to set up your Parental Controls again.

Q: Can I still search for programs?
A: Yes, the Search feature is still available with this Guide upgrade. Press Menu on your remote once to access the Quick Menu, then select the Magnifying Glass icon. The Search feature works the same way as your old Guide – simply scroll to each of the first five letters of the title of the program you want to watch.
