Kenneth J. Carrig |
Mr. Carrig is Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Comcast Cable where he is responsible for all people-related functions including: Comcast University, Compensation and Benefits, Diversity, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, HR Communication, HR Policy, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management. Mr. Carrig has been recognized as one of the top human resources professionals in his field and brings extensive experience to Comcast having overseen human resources at several major global corporations.
Mr. Carrig came to Comcast in 2009 from Sysco Corporation, a $37.5 billion food service marketing and distribution organization based in Houston, Texas, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Administration Officer. Before joining Sysco, he was Global Human Capital Leader for Andersen Consulting/Accenture. Prior to that, Mr. Carrig was Vice President of Global Human Resources for Continental Airlines where he was HR lead for a successful turnaround of the airline during the mid-to-late 1990s. Before this, he held multiple human resources positions with PepsiCo.
He is co-author of the book “Building Profits through Building People” published in 2006 about linking employees’ capabilities to customer needs. All royalties from the book are donated to Share Our Strength, an organization that fights hunger.
A 1981 graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Labor Economics, Mr. Carrig serves on the Advisory Board of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. He was elected a National Academy of Human Resources Fellow in 2004
