A Decade of "Days"
Comcast Cares Day started as a local volunteer effort, designed to give our employees, family and friends the opportunity to get out in their community and give back. Since then, the day has become a national movement fueled by Comcasters across the country; and this April 30, Comcast Cares Day turns 10 years old.
Comcast Cares Day started in 2001 with just over 6,000 volunteers. In each of the last two years, more than 60,000 volunteers have come out. And in 2011, we’re hoping to add on another 62,000 members to our family. If we succeed, then in just 10 years Comcast Cares Day will have delivered more than 350,000 volunteers, more than 3,500 projects, more than 2 million hours of service, and more than $10 million in matching grants for those partners who come out to join us.
Follow along on Facebook as we gear up for our tenth anniversary.
