Who and how we fund.

Organizations receiving support from The Comcast Foundation are proactively identified by our local Comcast systems or are part of our national programs such as Comcast Cares Day. Our primary focus is in funding diversity-oriented programs that address literacy, volunteerism and youth leadership development. Only organizations operating within Comcast communities will be considered. And while there are many non-profit organizations effectively making a difference in our communities, we regret that we cannot support all of them.

The Comcast Foundation is able to fund only a very small percentage of the requests we receive. Many requests are declined, not because they are lacking in merit, but because they do not match our focus areas. 

The Comcast Foundation does not fund:

Organizations without 501(c)(3) status; organizations that practice discrimination by race, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation or national origin; marketing sponsorships; sporting events; trips or tours; capital campaigns; endowments; private foundations; individuals; or political candidates or organizations.

Requests for Financial Support

Comcast and The Comcast Foundation invest in organizations that assist our communities with literacy, youth leadership development and community service programs. Our goal is to maximize the impact of our investments so they yield tangible, measurable benefits to our neighborhoods and the people who live there.

Our community partners are proactively identified by local Comcasters in the field. As members of your community, they have an intimate knowledge of local charities and can best allocate the funds to projects that will make the largest impact where it is most needed.

Comcast and The Comcast Foundation do not accept unsolicited sponsorship requests or grant proposals.  If your organization is interested in sending us information, please verify that you operate within a Comcast service area and use the local address for all related correspondence.  Click here to check service areas.
