BT&E Utility Products, Inc.
BT&E Utility Products, Inc. was established in 1964 by founder Larry Proulx, as Bedford Tool & Equipment located in Bedford, Massachusetts. Bedford Tool was primarily a repair shop for small engines and telecom test equipment. In 1986, Larry’s son Rick, joined the small family minority owned business and brought with him national distribution experience that set in motion the present day business.
Bedford Tool and Equipment became incorporated in 1990 and changed its name to BT&E Utility Products, Inc. In 1997, Rick became president of the growing family owned and operated minority business.
BT&E nationally distributes and specializes in Tools, Test Equipment and Safety Products for the CATV and Telecommunications industry. BT&E currently holds national distribution contracts with Comcast, Verizon, Cox, Southwestern Bell and Time Warner. We also offer a unique value added service as an authorized repair center for power tools.
Within the last five years, BT&E has moved into a larger facility to accommodate their larger accounts and to grow with them. BT&E continues to expand inventory and product lines at their new facility. We specialize in EDI Capability and JIT Inventory.
BT&E would like to thank Comcast’s commitment to minority owned businesses.
