2011 Awards Received

  • Comcast's Internal Diversity Council, for the third consecutive year, was listed among the Top 25 Diversity Councils by the Association of Diversity Councils. The Association of Diversity Councils is a practice group of the diversity and inclusion training firm PRISM International, Inc. In 2011, Comcast moved up from #13 to #8. (April 2011) Read more

  • Comcast was named among the 10 Best U.S. Corporations for Veteran-Owned Businesses for 2011 by the National Veteran-Owned Business Association. (March 2011) Read more
  • Comcast, for the second year in a row, was listed among DiversityInc’s 25 Noteworthy Companies, which recognized Comcast’s “excellent supplier-diversity program.” (March 2011) Read more
  • For the fifth consecutive year, Comcast made the Latina STYLE Magazine “Best Companies for Latinas” list.  (August 2011)
  • Comcast is the recipient of the Platinum PR Awards for our Comcast Cares Day; an annual day of service where nearly 70,000 volunteers worked with organizations such as National Urban League, United Way, Boys & Girls Clubs and Big Brothers Big Sisters to rehabilitate public parks, plant sustainable food gardens and clean up schools that primarily serve diverse populations.
  • Comcast Corporation received the 2011 Asian Enterprise Award for “Best Companies for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders”.
  • Comcast ranks third among operators and NBCUniversal ranks first among programmers in the 2011 WICT PAR Best Companies for Women in Cable Survey.
  • Comcast-GRM Marketing’s La Academia de Comcast was honored with a 2011 NAMIC Excellence in Multicultural Marketing Awards (EMMA) in the marketing Tactics Category for Experimental Marketing (1st place).
  • The National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) recognized Comcast as its corporate Partner of the Year.
  • Comcast Cable Communications was honored with a 2011 Visionary Award presented by United Spinal.
  • In August 2011, the Hmong American Partnership (“HAP”) featured Comcast as its “Partner of the Month” in recognition of Comcast’s continued support for HAP.
  • Comcast Corporation is the recipient of the Asian American Justice Center’s (AAJC) 2011 Bridge Builder Award. The award recognizes “an individual or corporation that has developed an innovative approach to successful community empowerment and strives to overcome obstacles for the Asian American community, as well as other minority communities.”

2010 Awards Received

  • Comcast named to the WICT Foundation/PAR Initiative “Best Operators for Women in Cable” and “Best Companies for Advancement Opportunities for Women.” (January 2010)
  • Comcast received recognition for being one of the “Top 50 Organizations for Multicultural Business Opportunities” by DiversityBusiness.com for the fifth year in a row. (February 2010)
  • Comcast placed 9 out of 50 in the "Diversity MBA Top 50 companies for Diverse Managers to Work" listing. We will be featured in their 50 Upfront issue. (April 2010)
  • Comcast received Top 10 in Accountability and Representation by Diversity MBA.
  • The Association of Diversity Councils named Comcast a recipient of the “2009 Diversity Council Honors Award.” (Comcast ranked 13 out of the 25 Award recipients.) This is the second year that Comcast has applied for and received this honor. (April 2010)
  • NOVOBA (National Veteran Owned Business Association) ranked Comcast on the “Top 10 Best Corporations for Veteran-Owned Business. (April 2010)
  • Comcast ranked on the “Top 25 Most Notable Companies” by DiversityInc. (May 2010)
  • Comcast was named the “Regional Corporation of the Year” by the Woman’s Business Enterprise Council of PA NJ DE. (May 2010)
  • For the sixth year in a row, Comcast ranked on the Hispanic Business Corporate Diversity in America list. This year Comcast rose on the list to 38 from 45. (August 2010)
  • For the fourth consecutive year, Comcast made the Latina STYLE Magazine “Best Companies for Latinas” list. Comcast ranked 46 on this year’s list. (August 2010)
  • Comcast tied for third place in the telecommunications industry on the Dave Thomas Foundation Most Adoption Friendly Workplaces. (September 2010)
  • For the fifth year in a row, Comcast ranked on CableFAX: The Magazine’s “Top Places to Work in Cable.” (September 2010)
  • For the second year in a row, Comcast scored 95/100 on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index. (September 2010)
  • Comcast made the Philadelphia Business Journal Best Places to Work list for the fourth year in a row. (Second Place Winner for Extra Large Companies - October 2010)
  • Comcast ranked on the G.I. Jobs “Top 100 Military Friendly Employers.” (We ranked #87 - November 2010)
