Building Stronger Communities
Comcast Corporation, the Foundation and our business entities often seek creative ways to partner with non-profit organizations that help make our communities stronger. In the process, we make direct connections between these organizations and our businesses, and frequently provide the technical skills of our employees. For example:
- With the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that shook our nation and the world, it remains important that we continue to showcase the amazing work done by those in the media who delivered the story -and in some cases lost their lives. Our networks carried the horrific details of the attacks, and today we sponsor the 9/11 Gallery at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.
- The world-renowned art collection maintained by the Barnes Foundation is set in May 2012 to make a historical move to a new home in Philadelphia. Comcast’s support of this relocation underscores our company’s commitment to improving the quality of civic life in our corporate hometown of Philadelphia.
These are only a few of the hundreds of sponsorships across Comcast and its family of companies. These sponsorships complement our Community Investment focus areas, the partnerships that we execute on a national scale and the dreams we seek to power in the local communities we serve.
