We believe that there are fantastic students in our communities, and that supporting them can bring only good things to neighborhoods across the country. That's why we gave away nearly $1.9 million in scholarships in 2009—and why we're doing it again this year.

Three Cool Programs, Thousands of Cooler Recipients

Our scholarships are awarded to students in three different programs:

Leaders and Achievers® Recognizing graduating high school seniors for community service, academic achievement, positive attitude, and leadership. Gustave G. Amsterdam Leadership Awards Grants are given each year to two Philadelphia public high school graduates who will be attending a Philadelphia college or university.

Emma L. Bowen Foundation Internships
A media and communications internship program for minority high school and college students.
