In the Community

We power dreams in our communities.

Comcast has been a “local” company since we were founded over 45 years ago. Our connection to the communities we serve has always been important to us. We work hard to build and strengthen relationships with community partners to make a difference, improve neighborhoods and create a lasting impact.

We power dreams in our communities by providing access to innovative technology, volunteering our time, giving financial support and partnering with great organizations.

Since 2001, Comcast has provided $1.4 billion in cash and in-kind support to national and local non-profit organizations across the country. We work with non-profits to create successful programs that improve the quality of life every where our customers and employees live and work. We also have strong relationships with our national partners – National Urban League, NCLR (National Council of La Raza), City Year, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and others – and we work together to meet the needs of families, neighborhoods and communities.

One of our signature ways we give back to our communities is through Comcast Cares Day, which took place this year on April 25.  Comcast Cares Day is our annual nationwide day of community service on which more than 60,000 Comcast employees, families and friends volunteer to make a difference.
