  • Comcast ranked #6 (up from #13 in 2008) in Diversity MBA Magazine’s "50 Out Front for Diversity Leadership: Best Places for Diverse Managers to Work" list for the fourth year in a row. (February 2009).
  • Comcast ranked #7 on Mashable.com list of the 10 Smartest Big Brands in Social Media. (February 2009).
  • Comcast ranked #4 on Abrams Research Social Media Leaders Survey. (February 2009).
  • Comcast was selected for inclusion on Diversity Edge Magazine’s “Best Companies for Diverse Graduates 2009.” (Our first year on the list.) We were ranked #13 on the list. (June 2009).
  • For the third year in a row, Comcast was named one of the LatinaStyle “50 Best Companies for Latinas.” (August 24, 2009). 
  • For the second year in a row, Comcast was ranked as one of the BusinessWeek “Best Places to Launch a Career.” (August 2009).
  • For the fifth year in a row, Comcast was named one of the Hispanic Business “Diversity Elite 60: Top 60 Companies for Hispanics.” (September 2009).
  • Comcast ranked on the Human Right Campaign Corporate Equality Index with a score of 95/100. (September 2009).
  • Comcast selected as one of the Most Admired Employers for Minority Professionals by the readers of US Black Engineer, Hispanic Engineer, and Women of Color magazines. (Comcast ranked number 65 out of 70.) (October 2009).
  • Comcast honored along with Turner Broadcasting as the 2009 Diversity Champion by the Walter Kaitz Foundation. (October 2009).
  • For the third year in a row, Comcast was named to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s "Best Places to Work” list. (Second Place Winner for Extra Large Companies). (October 2009).
  • For the fourth year in a row, Comcast was named to CableFax’s “Top 10 Places to Work in Cable.” (November 2009).
  • Comcast named to the WICT Foundation/Par Initiative “Best Operators for Women in Cable” list. (Ranked third on the Best Operators for Women in Cable list and ranked third on the Best Companies for Women in Advancement Opportunities list). (December 2009).
  • Comcast was named one of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s 2009 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces, tied for #1 in the Communications and Telecommunications category (up from #2 in 2008).
  • The Association of Diversity Councils named Comcast a recipient of the “2009 Diversity Council Honors Award.” (Comcast is among the top 15 Award recipients.) This is the first year that Comcast has applied for and received this honor.
  • For the fifth consecutive year, Comcast was named one of the “Top 50 Organizations for Multicultural Business Opportunities" by Diversity Business.com. Comcast was ranked # 34 on the list-up from # 44 last year.
  • Comcast named one of the “2009 Top 10 Corporations for Veteran-Owned Businesses” by the National Veteran Owned Business Association (NaVOBA) in Vetrepreneur magazine.
  • Comcast ranked #3 on Mashable.com list of 40 of the Best Twitter Brands and the People Behind Them.
